The Founder

Dr. Ophelia Jarligo the founder and CEO of Klüger-Tech has 20+ years hands-on experience in the study of the structures, thermal, physical and chemical properties of various materials. She holds a PhD in Materials Processing, MS in Materials Science and Engineering and BS in Ceramic Engineering.

After her doctoral studies at Tohoku University (Japan), she landed a postdoc position at the same university and was involved in various activities related to micro-systems materials processing. She was then hired as a Scientist at Forschungszentrum Jülich (Germany) and worked on a wide range of energy materials related topics including the development, synthesis and processing of advanced thermal barrier coatings, ion transport membranes, solid oxide fuel cells and solid-state batteries.

For more than six years at Jülich, Dr. Jarligo was involved in numerous EU and industry funded projects which worked on increasing operation efficiencies of energy conversion systems. In 2013, she was hired by the University of Alberta (Canada) through the Helmholz-Alberta Initiative (HAI) and managed the Membrane Development Team. In 2016, she joined Quantiam Technologies Inc. as a research professional and worked on petrochemical R&D projects to advance internally coated tubulars to commercialization. In 20 18, she founded Klüger-Tech Inc. in Edmonton, Alberta.

Over the years, Dr. Jarligo has gained industrial experience working on nano-technology, specialized surface systems, and energy production, conversion and storage. The results of her research work are published in 40+ scientific articles in journals and conference proceedings.
